KERFORD LIMESTONE – Nebraska’s Limestone Leader
Since our founding in 1966, Kerford Limestone has become one of the leading limestone producers in Nebraska. With quarries and mines located in the eastern part of Nebraska, Kerford Limestone supplies Nebraska and western Iowa with over 2.2 million tons of raw limestone every year, which is produced in part for road materials such as asphalt, concrete, ag lime, back fill, base and construction materials.

AG LIME (FINE)
Fine aggregate, is typically 3/16″ & Smaller, and is commonly used for Mortar Sand, Asphalt Sand, Rock Powder and Agricultural Lime (Ag Lime).
ROAD MATERIALS (BASE)
Base aggregate is a mixture of coarse and fine aggregates, ideal for Foundations for Highways and Structures, Unpaved Surfaces and Backfill.
CONCRETE MATERIALS (COURSE)
Coarse aggregate is typically 4″ & Smaller. Most common application is Driveways, as well as Railroad Backfill and Water Containment.
RIP RAP
Rip Rap pieces are typically larger than 4″. Ideal for Erosion Control, Slope Stability, and is a great choice for Landscaping.
Customer Notice of Policy Changes
Effective January 1, 2024, Kerford Limestone will be making the following changes as we modernize the scales at our facility:
- We will no longer accept cash sales. All sales will be on account only
- For at least the next six months, we will not be accepting new accounts
- During the first quarter of 2024 we will be converting to an electronic ticket (“E-ticketing”) scale platform, paper tickets will be phased out
- All trucks will be set up in the scale system with their maximum legal GCWR, scale tickets will not be issued if the truck’s legal maximum combined weight is exceeded
